These are some pictures taken on a hike up Mt. Arrowsmith in 1999. Mt. Arrowsmith is in British Columbia, Canada, on Vancouver Island, 60 klm to the west of the communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. It's a popular climb in this area but quite steep and you need to be in good shape to do it.
Here is a picture of Mt Arrowsmith from Qualicum Beach. This is the east side of the mountain. The preceeding pictures were taken near the top.
Here is a look at Mt. Arrowsmith from the 'back side' (the Port Alberni side) in winter. As of September 2009 Mt. Arrowsmith has been designated a Provincial Park.
